Valentines and more

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! ...ok, So I'm a little late. It's been a crazy past couple of weeks (apparantly Tucker's felt the craziness too- note exhibit A below)

Valentines was filled with fun making sugar cookies for daddy and Oma and Opa who came on the 15th.

Did I say 'making' sugar cookies? We were lucky to have any on the plate left to give them! :)

Valentines for Rudy and I was celebrated when Oma and Opa came and we were able to go out for the night to the school dance! It was really fun to get all dressed up and go to a school dance (albeit VERY different than my high school experiences). There was all kinds of really good food, a raffle, a small casino downstairs, and plenty of music to get our groove on (although not many people got any groove on until they were sufficiently plastered...I and Rudy NOT included :) Mormons are always good at being completely sober yet hyper enough to seem drunk ;) It was a fun night nonetheless and we came home way after curfew! (good thing Oma and Opa didn't wait up for us :)

After a long night at the dance, we all took a trip to Williamsburg and saw some of the historical sights. It was really fun walking up and down the streets, they have it set up so you can almost transport yourself back in time.

We just had to take a picture of this. 'Tucker" is all over the place around here. Little did we know we'd be naming our son after 5 street names, a hospital, a high school and plenty of prominent dead people :)

Oma and Opa doing what they do best...spoiling Tucker :)

It was really fun to have Rudy's parents here. They are so fun and generous and Tucker finally got down 'Oma' and 'Opa' (mostly 'Oma' before they left)...now he still walks around the house saying, 'Oma'? We love being out here and the experiences we're having, but it'll be really nice to be closer to family someday!

It's about time!!! :-) Very fun pics, and I am so impressed you let Tuck decorate the cookies. I am such a bad mommy, I hate messes like those created by not-yet-two-year-olds with frosting and the lack of fine motor skills. I suppose it goes back to the uptight only being mostly hidden by bodily fluids!!! Loved the pic of the two of you all dressed up!

Cute pics Melis, I would love to see you get your grove on with your little "volleyball" When I was pregnant I considered it quite an accomplishment to be able to walk across the room or up a flight of stairs without falling. :)
