Olives and Dancing

Tucker has loved dancing since he was about 6 months old. He's got quite the moves. He also recently discovered the fun you can have with olives and fingers...they've become one of his new favorite foods.

Super Mario Brother 3 Tournament!

Well, I think we're still full from Thanksgiving. What an adventure! We celebrated Thanksgiving out in Virginia, with our good friends, the Ruckers. We decided we wanted it to feel like home with a lot of good food, so we made a turkey, a ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, fruit salad, a pumpkin pie, a chocolate pie, and an apple pie....for FOUR of us!!! HAHA! Can we say LEFTOVERS?? :) It was a ton of fun though and the food turned out pretty good! We had our fill, then played Super Mario 3 from beginning until the end...yes, we made it to the princess! Then we ate more food. Then Lissa and I got up at 5 in the AM to go crazy person shopping on Black Friday. It was a fun adventure....and a nice nap when I got home! :) Good times and good memories.

Fall in Virginia

I haven't had a lot of time to get good pictures of the BEAUTY around here during fall, but here's a couple from our front porch-- just a sample of the incredible colors that are all over the place! I think this is my new favorite time of year, at least for the East coast.

Rudy's working super-duper hard these next two weeks, with TWELVE tests coming up before the end of November....not including the three he took this week! Boy will we be excited for the Winter break! All of December free! WAHOO!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year, going to our ward Halloween party. In case you can't tell...we're bananas, holding our monkey. Well, that's what you get with a few hours free and some cheap fabric from Walmart! :) It was fun and Tucker loved the craziness of it all. he actually loved wearing the monkey hat, even though half the time he couldn't see and would run into walls, kids, and the ground all night long.

Trick or treating was fun. Rudy just stayed in his scrubs and used his latest 'maxilla' to enhance his outfit. Kids came to the door... "look mom! it's a fake doctor!", or "what the heck are you supposed to be??" The best part is when he handed out the piece of candy with the travel size tube of toothpaste! He got quite the looks. It was really interesting though, when we left the tray out while we were taking Tucker trick or treating, we put 1/2 candy and 1/2 toothpaste. We came back to a tray full of candy and one tube of toothpaste left. We figure it was one person really in need of toothpaste or the kids thought it was something random they could add to their, "weirdest things I got from halloween" stash.
Tucker, unfortunately, got his mom's sweet tooth and has found every hiding place I've had for the candy so far. He doesn't let wrappers get in the way...he just eats them too.

Rudy's White Coat Ceremony

On October 5th, Rudy was officially 'coated' at the White Coat Ceremony. He can now officially see patients! (scary! :) Mom and Dad Wolf came out to be there for the ceremony and celebrate an early Christmas with us. They were so generous and we had a lot of fun going to D.C. for a couple of days and playing the Wii! (Thanks guys!) We've been having a lot of fun with the Wii lately. Rudy and I use it for our nightly exercise-- boxing, playing tennis, etc. It's a nice 'out' when we can't go out because Tucker's asleep. Now, if only Rudy could figure out how to STUDY with the Wii! :)

Tucker enjoying one of his Christmas presents: A backpack monkey with parent leash! Woo hoo!

We had a chance to see lots of D.C. sights as well as go through the White House.

Walking around D.C. 'dragging' a very asleep Tucker in the stroller . Rudy had to keep him behind him and tipped up so he'd stay asleep.

Fixin' up the house

We've been working hard on our house trying to add a 1/2 bath and more organized space than we originally had. This might be the last of the BIG projects we do to this house (famous last words, eh?) It was fun, but tiring and lots of hard work (trying to get it all done in about 2 weeks before Rudy's parents came out to visit.) But thanks to a plumber/electrician in our ward our house is not leaky, nor on fire. :)

Here are some 'before' shots of the non-existent 1/2 bath and closed in pantry. It used to be one big pantry/laundry room behind both doors.

Tearing a hole in the wall for the new bathroom door. Scary!...yet so much fun :)

All the wires, tubes, lines, etc. that are involved with setting up a 1/2 bath. We didn't really know what we were getting into when we started! (Thank goodness we had Jim, the 'Master Plumber' there!)

Melissa doing a little drywallin'

TA DAAA! (Thanks again to Jim and the Tetterton family for the sink and toilet that they had and GAVE to us!!) SO many generous people we've met!

The finished bath and textured walls (don't know if you can see the texture.)

The good sized pantry we ended up with. It was so nice to build a 1/2 bath and feel like we gained space in the house!

While the house was in madness, we figured, why not just redo the kitchen floor while we're at it?

Daddy's little helper. He couldn't get enough of using Daddy's tools and trying to do what Daddy was doing while we were remodeling.

The beginning of our family blog!

It seemed like everyone has just recently started asking us what our blog was so they could see pictures of Tucker, the house, etc. So, after looking into it and finally getting with the times, here we are! We'll be getting pics and more details up soon!
