So, I figured I should do a quick verbal update as well as put some pictures on for my own journaling purposes more than anything! :) So, where to start...? That's the problem about not writing for a while...I forget what I have/haven't talked about.
Well, Rudy decided not to run for president of the whole school (though he wouldn't have had any problem getting it cause he's done so much for the students), he decided he could make more of a difference being his class president again (kind-of a govenor vs. senator type thing). So, not only did he get the president spot again, but they had an awards ceremony for the school and student body and he got 2 awards there, one as a service scholarship nominated by his classmates, and another as a service/making a difference in the school by the faculty. It's so nice to have him get a little recognition, mostly because he doesn't do it for the recognition at all so it just makes for a nice little bonus for the man who really is quite altruistic. That's one of the qualities I greatly admire in Rudy and am so grateful for the example he is to me in that and so many other things!
Rudy and I got a new calling a couple of weeks ago. We were called at the Stake/Regional YSA leaders. We're in charge of finding over 300 young single adults that we don't have records for, as well as working on activation, stake activities, communication, and really big regional events/activities. We just met with Elder Marriott and other Regional reps to discuss how we can do lots of these things and we've got a regional activity this Saturday which we 'get' to go to. It's interesting to be in this position as the others in the same position are older couples. I feel like we still ARE Y(not so much 'S')A's! :) It's a great calling though cause there aren't a lot of guidelines so we're just kindof going with it and creating it as we go (which Rudy LOVES! :)
Rudy's been released from EQ 1st councilor, but no release for me yet with the Young Women...we'll see when and IF it happens!
I'm two months away from baby #2! I think it's going to be a long two months, cause I could have sworn I was two months away a month ago! :) We're really enjoying the warmer weather, trying to get out as much as we can. I'm passing the time working my jobs and working on some landscaping (which isn't a lot since Virginians don't really care much about grass or anything like that!) We had a playgroup at Maymont park today (beautiful park in Richmond) and Rudy got off early and was able to meet up with us, which was really fun!
Rudy's finishing up his second year within the next two weeks, then he has a few weeks off before he goes back to begin his third year and start in clinics working on patients all day! Fun stuff! It's great to watch him transition into a doctor!
Tucker's cuter than ever, exploring the world, trying to learn as many words as he can each day. Our favorites are "Aww, Maan." "KIECOO!" (also known as the dislexic form of Cookie), "eko-kee-ko" (also known as 'okee-dokee'), and many others. Life is good!
It won't let me post pictures, so i'll have to show you some of Maymont later.
We are off the see the....Mannings!
