Williamsburg

So here's my report on our most recent trip to Williamsburg. Rudy had last week off for spring break, so we decided to take advantage of it by going to Williamsburg and seeing the whole thing for a couple of days. They had a killer deal of get in free w/ hotel purchase so us and the Ruckers shared the cost of a room and had a party (with kids up all night) all in the same room.

One of the funnest things about Colonial Williamsburg is as soon as you start walking on the street you feel like you've been transported back in time. There are people walking the streets, actors who are dressed the part, having dialogue amongst each other about the revolution, etc. Carriages, and tradespeople who are really doing their trade in which they've actually been doing it for 10-20 years. We learned a fair amount and really enjoyed experiencing the 'peacefulness' of the 'good ol days' :)

This was a pic of the Govenor's Palace. The walls were made entirely of leather and gold leafing... wowzers!

Caught in the act! The little munchkins at work in the bathroom...it's amazing how much trouble 'times 2' can be! :) It was so nice to have both kids to entertain each other! (and so nice that we were in a hotel room and didn't have to clean up after all of their 'trouble'! :)

Random cute pic of Tuck wanting to be just like Daddy. I was folding laundry one day and he pulled Rudy's scrubs out of the pile and said, 'Daddie!' and tried to put it on himself...with which he got it over his head and got lost in it, falling down a few times and flailing wildly to get out. After a good laugh, I helped him put it on and he scooted around, just giddy that he was wearing 'Daddie'.

Learning his ABC's

Tucker LOVES the alphabet and trying to pronounce as many of the letters as he can. His favorite is to sit with daddy with the laptop and play ABC zoo on fisherprice.com. Ahh...male bonding. :)
