Olives and Dancing

Tucker has loved dancing since he was about 6 months old. He's got quite the moves. He also recently discovered the fun you can have with olives and fingers...they've become one of his new favorite foods.

Super Mario Brother 3 Tournament!

Well, I think we're still full from Thanksgiving. What an adventure! We celebrated Thanksgiving out in Virginia, with our good friends, the Ruckers. We decided we wanted it to feel like home with a lot of good food, so we made a turkey, a ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, fruit salad, a pumpkin pie, a chocolate pie, and an apple pie....for FOUR of us!!! HAHA! Can we say LEFTOVERS?? :) It was a ton of fun though and the food turned out pretty good! We had our fill, then played Super Mario 3 from beginning until the end...yes, we made it to the princess! Then we ate more food. Then Lissa and I got up at 5 in the AM to go crazy person shopping on Black Friday. It was a fun adventure....and a nice nap when I got home! :) Good times and good memories.

Fall in Virginia

I haven't had a lot of time to get good pictures of the BEAUTY around here during fall, but here's a couple from our front porch-- just a sample of the incredible colors that are all over the place! I think this is my new favorite time of year, at least for the East coast.

Rudy's working super-duper hard these next two weeks, with TWELVE tests coming up before the end of November....not including the three he took this week! Boy will we be excited for the Winter break! All of December free! WAHOO!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween this year, going to our ward Halloween party. In case you can't tell...we're bananas, holding our monkey. Well, that's what you get with a few hours free and some cheap fabric from Walmart! :) It was fun and Tucker loved the craziness of it all. he actually loved wearing the monkey hat, even though half the time he couldn't see and would run into walls, kids, and the ground all night long.

Trick or treating was fun. Rudy just stayed in his scrubs and used his latest 'maxilla' to enhance his outfit. Kids came to the door... "look mom! it's a fake doctor!", or "what the heck are you supposed to be??" The best part is when he handed out the piece of candy with the travel size tube of toothpaste! He got quite the looks. It was really interesting though, when we left the tray out while we were taking Tucker trick or treating, we put 1/2 candy and 1/2 toothpaste. We came back to a tray full of candy and one tube of toothpaste left. We figure it was one person really in need of toothpaste or the kids thought it was something random they could add to their, "weirdest things I got from halloween" stash.
Tucker, unfortunately, got his mom's sweet tooth and has found every hiding place I've had for the candy so far. He doesn't let wrappers get in the way...he just eats them too.
